Miley Cyrus Comments on Smoking Weed

Last year a video emerged of Miley Cyrus apparently smoking from a bong, but the teen super star said she was smoking legal salvia, not marijuana.  She has since admitted the incident was a mistake, but the latest video has people wondering if the birthday reports suggest there was marijuana being consumed.

Former “Hannah Montana” star has another video to spin. It was shot at the singer’s 19th birthday party in Hollywood last week.  In the video, Miley is presented with a cake with the image of Bob Marley given to her by her friend Kelly Osbourne.

According to The Daily, Miley responded by telling the crowd included her parents Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus — “You know you’re a stoner when your friends make you a Bob Marley cake.  You know you smoke way too much f***ing weed.” “I thought salvia was your problem, Miley,” jokes Kelly.

The video began making the rounds Sunday after it was posted by The Daily.  Kelly immediately jumped to the singer’s defense on Twitter, writing, “let me make something very clear after @MileyCyrus salvia incident we started calling her Bob Miley as a JOKE! the cake was also…A JOKE! it makes me sick that @MileyCyrus so called ‘friends’ would sell her out and lead people 2 believe she is someone that she is not!”

If Cyrus is going down the pot path (and there is no indication she is, for the record), she may want to be aware of some recent studies on the health effects of marijuana.  Cyrus may be part of a trend, one reported on in 2010 by Monitoring the Future, an annual national survey looking at attitudes, behavior and values of teens. The group reported that marijuana use is up among adolescents after declining in the previous decade.

Miley Cyrus’ rep called the singer’s “stoner” comment “sarcastic” today, telling “Access Hollywood,” “The cake was a joke and Miley was being sarcastic. It is being completely taken out of context.”
